How to Generate Network Marketing or MLM Leads

If there’s one thing you need in order to succeed with MLM/Network Marketing its leads. Without leads, you’ll never make much money regardless of your company, the pay plan, your upline or anything else. You’re also going to need a lot of leads since there’s no way you’ll sign every one to be an agent. How many you’ll need depends on several factors such as your skill and your business. Not to mention; if you have a lot of leads, you won’t have to feel like you have to sign every one. It’s a lot easier to say No to having someone that doesn’t match what you’re looking for if you have 20-30 people waiting on your call. There are other factors involved in succeeding, but if you have leads and use them, that’s a large hurdle passed.

This article aims to give you a few ideas on how to generate those leads and make it as simple as possible. I don’t really like the term “Lead” since they’re really just people like you and me who are looking for a better life; but we’ll use the term for this article since that’s a commonly excepted term and to prevent confusion.

Let’s go over a few ways you can generate MLM leads.

Call everyone you know and ask for referrals.
Tell them about the great business you have and how they can benefit from either being a customer or agent. If you’ve chosen wisely and believe in your company, you won’t see a problem with this. If you aren’t sure you have a great business, maybe you should keep looking. A great way to decide if you have a good company is to ask yourself if you’d sign up your best friend or valued member of your family. Or ask yourself if you’d use the product if there was no pay plan involved. If the answer is No, maybe you should keep looking.

Build lead capture pages and get them listed high on search engines.
This will generate leads that are interested in your company. However, anyone who has worked at getting a site listed high will tell you this is time consuming and far from easy and it’s not an overnight job either. You could spend months working on your site and never break the top 100.

You can advertise your lead capture page on Pay Per Click (PPC) search engines.
The largest sites are Google and Yahoo. These are the ads that show up at the top or on the right when you search. This is the fastest way and depending on the key words you’re bidding on could be cheap or very expensive (some keywords cost over 100 bucks) and there’s no guarantee you’ll get a single lead. It only guarantees that someone will see your page. If you’re going to go this route, do yourself a favor and either get trained on how to do it or start slow or both. You can easily blow hundreds or thousands of dollars before you know it.

You can print flyers and post them on bulletin boards around town and put them on doors and cars.If you figure a 1-2% success rate, you’ll get 1-2 leads per hundred flyers and then depending on your closing rate, you can figure out how many flyers you’ll need to hand out consistently to reach your goals. Also figure in printing costs. Even if you’re printing these at home, you’ll have to pay for ink/toner and the wear and tear on your printer, not to mention the time and gas it takes to drive around and post the flyers. You should also get permission from property owners/managers if you’re going to put them on doors or cars since some people will throw them on the ground. One other thing to be wary about is car alarms.

You can spam the world with one of those e-mail 16 million people for 29.95 spam messages you get every week.Do us both a favor and don’t. The best you can hope for is to not get blacklisted or in trouble with the feds. The odds are that you’ll be visited by the feds and/or have your ISP shut you down. The way these are collected is by sending a little robot spider to crawl the web and collect e-mail addresses from forums, news groups, blogs, web sites and anywhere else they can find them. These are just bad news and may get you kicked out of your company since they could be black listed because you didn’t follow this advice. An easy way to tell if they are real leads or harvested is the price. If they’re unbelievably cheap or don’t include i.p. address, they are probably harvested.

Cold Calling
This is just as it sounds. You pick up the phone book and start calling. This is the cheapest way to generate leads and if you have a thick skin may work for you. The thing to remember is that those people may be on the Do Not Call List and it may get you in trouble. The best thing to do is research the legal requirements before attempting this. The direct link is https://telemarketing.donotcall.gov I’ve never done cold calling so I’m not sure if they charge you to be a member or not.

You can buy leads from a company that generates leads for you.
But even these aren’t created equal. Some companies sell the same lead to 5, 10 or more people; even people in the same company as you and sell them for weeks, months or longer. You could end up with a lead that is 5 months old and been called by 10 or more people and is just plain tired of talking to people or has already joined a company and is quite happy with it. Some are also overpriced and use shady tactics to get people to sign up such as contest sites.

Or you could join a lead Co-Op that only sells the lead to you and generates it after you order meaning they are about 1-3 days old and only sold once. You want to make sure the company is reputable, been around for awhile and truly cares about their customers/members. They should offer multiple lead packages, training on how to effectively contact those leads, multiple autoresponders to make contacting them for follow-up (the fortune is in the follow-up) and training them easier and a presentation to explain what network marketing/MLM actually is in case the person has never heard of the concept or your company doesn’t offer a recruiting site. It would also help if the company has a pay plan so that as you refer your new downline to the great leads you use, you can create an extra income stream (or at least get them for free) and so can your downline. One such Lead Co-Op is http://www.bestmlmleads.biz

The thing to remember is that regardless of how the lead was generated these people asked for information on starting a home based business and you should make it your responsibility to get them the information as soon as possible. Unless you didn’t take my advice and used a spam CD; then you’re on your own.

Another thing to think about when choosing a method is will it be duplicatable to your downline and get consistent results? But that’s a subject covered in a previous article.

MLM... Scheme or Dream?

Multi-Level Marketing (MLM) is a very highly debated topic. Ask one person and they will say it is all a complete scam. Ask another person and they will say it is the greatest thing in the universe. One person will say, "MLM didn't work for me" and the next will say, "I made millions in my MLM business!"

Well, here is the truth behind Multi Level Marketing...

MLM in and of itself is not a scam, scheme, or anything of the sort. It is a very legitimate and powerful way to do business. In fact, almost every business has at least some aspects or resemblance of an MLM, whether they admit it or not.

The problem is that people have a tendency to believe that joining an MLM opportunity is some sort of "magic" thing where they will not have to do anything but sit on their butt and still get rich in just a couple weeks. When that does not happen they are quick to tell everyone they possibly can just how much of a scam every MLM in the world is.

The reality is that if they would have just spent as much time actually putting effort in to their MLM business as they did bashing it afterward, they probably would have made a lot of money.

These days most people have a negative view of multi-level marketing simply because they do not understand it or they don't fully give it a chance. They just listen to someone they know who says, "MLM doesn't work".

Guess what?...

No business in the world, MLM or otherwise, "works" or "doesn't work" ....it is the business owner that has to put in the proper time and energy needed to make it work.

With that being said you do still need to be careful and do your due diligence before joining an MLM business or any other "opportunity" of any kind because there are many people out there who are just looking to make a quick buck off of you by scamming you.

Just remember... if you do have a bad experience... it was not "Multi-Level Marketing" that was the to blame. Instead it was most likely that particular company, or lack of effort, or an individual scam artist, or something else along those lines. You can be sure that MLM in general was not the problem!

So remember... MLM is not a scheme, it is a very pleasant dream! A dream that will come true if you are willing to pursue it with all your desire.

Six Tips For Beginners in MLM Industry

Choose wisely. There are six major elements you should be looking for in a network marketing company:

* Stability. How old is the company?
* Outstanding products or services that customers will use and need more of.
* The pay plan—it should be smooth and reasonable and generous. This is really vital as the pay plan depicts exactly how you'll get paid--or not get paid.
* The honesty of the company and the management. As much as possible, examine the experience of the CEO and reputation in the network marketing industry.
* Momentum and timing. Search out the company's location, current affairs of the company, and if it is rising.
* Support, training and business systems. A company with brilliant management, products and services, with a pay plan that's exclusively fair and very liberal will be in no use without good support and training.

Practice what they teach. For success, beginners need to be eager to pay attention and learn from counsellors. But whatever the counsellor did to become successful, don’t try to copy them blindly, but you have to be keen to snoop and be taught and pursue those systems.

The higher-ups. The general term is the "upline," meaning the people higher than you. They should be as committed to your success as they are to their own. Newcomers should be capable to relate to upline and be able to call them at any time to say, "I need some help."

Take up the lead with your downline. There's a term in the network marketing industry called "orphans"— newcomers joining the MLM industry and have nothing to do as their mentors are busy to join more downline. Mentors should be ready to bear at least 30 days training a newcomer into the industry-- helping them and holding their hand until they feel positive to be able to go off on their own.

On the net. People are using Internet as their main web-marketing tool. You can build your site with auto responders. One of the greatest ways to success in this industry is follow-up. Computerization on the Internet has endorsed a much more reliable method of following up.

The only shortcoming of the Internet is people who use it to spam. Spamming should be avoided as it can give a very bad name not only to you but also to the company you're dealing with.

Taking care of business. As this is a business, and just like if you were running a trade or a shop, you should maintain all the official formalities. You have all the same write-offs tax-consultants that you have with running a [full-time] business, so it's very important to make a research prior to getting engaged, before you start getting cash from it.

It's important to build a support team around you and seeking for suggestions to the lawyers, who are proficient with MLM industry or Direct-Selling Company.

Simplicity And Duplicity In Networking MLM

Ask some of the more successful MLM marketers and they will tell you that the key factor in networking MLM is simplicity.

Networking MLM is a very simple business. But keeping it simple does not mean that hard work is not involved. One of the common mistakes is that people try to make it complicated.

Even if a complex system achieved great results for you, others will find it difficult to copy. In networking MLM, personal success is not your greatest asset.

Your greatest asset is having a system that guarantees the success of everyone using it. The success of others, and your success, is dependant upon their ability to do the same things you do. Keep the least experienced of those in your network in mind when you set up a system of doing things for your organization to follow.

Everything you do must be simple enough so that everyone can quickly duplicate your efforts and achieve the same phenomenal results as you.

In MLM networking, you should not do things that require special skills, resources which are available only to you or to a limited number of people. Open up your business to a much larger pool of people who can become successful.

You need to build your network as quickly as possible. You can only meet with a few people each day and can personally close even fewer sales.

But using an MLM networking strategy, you can help others quickly learn to do the same simple things as you. When they do, they multiply your efforts.

Go for the same phenomenal results. This is quality duplication. Each person in your MLM networking, from top to bottom, must be able to exactly duplicate what you are doing and be able to teach others to do exactly the same thing. How large a sales team you can build depends on how well it is duplicated.

To ensure duplication, you need a system or processes that anybody and everybody can follow and teach. You cannot duplicate a person but you can duplicate a system.

In building a successful and long-term network, the MLM networking system must rule. Remember a system is only as good as it is duplicated.

The more complex a system, the less likely quality duplication will be achieved. To make sure you duplicate well, follow the System you are provided with religiously. There is no perfect system and your time is better spent perfecting your ability to duplicate it rather than perfecting a system.

Take this example. Ray Krocs, the founder of MacDonald’s cannot be duplicated but the MacDonald’s franchise system can be and is, to almost 100% perfection in 18,000 outlets worldwide.

Keeping it simple. To ensure you do things that your distributor can learn from and duplicate.

Is what I am doing easily duplicable?

Is it simple enough to be duplicated? Keep asking yourself this same questions and if you answer "yes" at least 75 % of the time, you are on the right track.

The most successful people in MLM networking business understand that everything must be kept simple in order to grow your business. Show others how simple it is to do what you do. They need to see you do it, and then believe it is simple enough for them to quickly duplicate to achieve the same good results in your MLM networking.

MLM Is It A Scam Or Not?

The network marketing industry, also known as multi level marketing (MLM), has become one of the major controversies in the business world. Both advocates and detractors have used strong arguments defending their view.

The detractors have condemned MLM as a scam because the system falsely claims instant riches with less effort based on a “pyramid” marketing scheme that expands a business improperly by promoting too much hype and misleading facts.

They also note that 95% of the MLM business opportunities fail, with supporting evidence. There are huge profits involved only for the top performers and not for the vast majority of the distributors.

The proponents of multi level marketing insist that it is one of the best business models to create wealth without investing large capital and on a short term basis. On the other hand, they also note that it requires a lot of effort and it is not a ”get rich quick scheme”, pointing out that this approach to marketing has been taught as a mainstream course in universities.

The proponents of MLM support their arguments by claiming that there are many cases of people who succeeded in the MLM industry with a small amount of start-up capital and only by following a specific plan put forth by the original company. They also differentiate the MLM from “pyramid schemes” because the first contains a product or service with a legitimate company which supports it.

On the other hand “pyramid schemes” contain no products or services, or they include “pseudo products” in order to justify the existence of the “opportunity”

Another argument against MLM is the bogus claim of duplication. Nothing can be duplicated since every individual is unique and, under no circumstances, are we all capable of becoming top salesmen or developers of down-line, i.e. MLM marketers recruited as salesman, referred to as “independent business owners”. Actually, a charismatic salesman in the network in this scenario rises in the ranks of the pyramid by earning money from these new recruit’s hard work.

The MLM advocates that duplication is possible only when the marketing plan and the tools have been advanced by the mother company in order to be duplicable for the majority of the distributors. This implies that whenever the mother MLM company is in a position to provide such a tool, then ordinary people with little to none marketing background can copy the marketing techniques and tools and promote their MLM opportunity successfully.

Another downside of MLM is the exploitation of our relatives urging them to join our MLM opportunity which oftentimes stresses family relationships unnecessarily and is considered by many to be a dubious marketing tactic.

Some proponents may counter that there is no need to beg your relatives for sales; instead, what you need is qualified prospects who are interested in your offer. That can be accomplished by purchased targeted leads or specific advertising methods.

The list could go on. Maybe not even an exhaustive book would be enough to note all the arguments both sides deploy. Maybe the problem is the conundrum itself, in which we have to choose between demonizing or canonizing the MLM industry. Since nothing can be duplicated, everything boils down to how the individual marketer presents his material to his prospects. Therefore, one can conclude the MLM system is good for some and not for others, so there is no need to disparage it or support it in the first place as a third party observer.

In that way of thinking we will not find answers. Only detailed consideration of each and every MLM company would lead to more accurate conclusions and that means thorough examination of the products or services, the marketing and compensation plan, the marketing tools , and of course the company’s support and background.

MLM Business-Mistakes to Avoid

For the many people new to the MLM business, or for veterans who have yet to realize success in the industry, recognizing and correcting four detrimental yet commonly made mistakes can make all the difference. Today, we will look at some of the mistakes many in the MLM business make and what you can do about them.

Mistake #1

The first mistake practically everyone makes in this industry is trying to sell. We are in the teaching and mentoring business. If we are doing this right, we are building relationships, not trying to get people into our deals. People can feel the difference when you’re talking to them and trying to sell them. They don’t like it. Neither do you! You don’t like to be sold, and you don’t like the feeling you get when you’re trying to sell something. It doesn’t sit right deep down inside. So stop it! Build relationships, and success will follow. That is key!

Mistake #2

Not checking the background of your company leadership to make sure that they have MLM experience, with integrity, is another mistake. Why does this matter, you ask? Well, do you want to build this once, build it big, and build it for your children’s children? Then you better make sure that the people running it know what they’re doing and respect the guys and gals in the field who are building it. The best way to do this is to read your company’s policies and procedures. Some of the things you will find there will make you scream! When you read them, you’ll realize who you are really building the business for and it’s not you! Please, please, read the policies and procedures!

Mistake #3

Not knowing how many people it takes to earn the income you want is a huge blunder. Do you want to make $10,000 every month? Okay, then how many people in your organization does it take, on the back end, to make your goal? How doable is that? Are you having trouble just keeping 10, 20, or 30?

In most comp plans to make $10,000 a month, you need anywhere from 1,600 to 5,000 people, depending on how your plan is set up. How doable is that when you can’t even keep 30? I know of a comp plan out there that requires less than 400 people to make $10,000 monthly. How much easier do you think it is to keep people in that plan? Pretty easy, I’d say. So make sure you know the numbers, then crunch them to see how doable it is for you.

Mistake #4

The final mistake that many MLM distributors make is going after their friends and families. Unfortunately, a large majority of companies out there employ this “technique” as their primary source of lead generation. Ouch! Let me just tell you from personal experience that your “warm market” is the coldest out there! If you’re in a company where this is the primary source of lead generation, you are in for a hard time, my friend! This technique does not work. The best leads are the ones you generate yourself, and if your company, team, or upline doesn’t have a system in place to do that, it’s going to be very tough.

These are just a few of the mistakes many people make in a MLM business, but with some basic skills and a good system in place, these mistakes are avoidable. If you are having difficulties, take a good look at these mistakes and see if you’re not making one of them in your own MLM business.

Quality MLM Leads – How To Generate Responsive MLM Leads

You have a website open to the public, now what?

Basically your general premise for having a website is simple: to provide prospects with information in order to answer their unanswered or spur of the moment questions relating to your business. Your message to your visitors should express, “this is why you want to do business with our company”.

The basic allure of shopping or doing research online is that a prospect will not have to talk to anyone to get the information they are after. It is a fieldtrip so to speak, they can look and not touch, go where they are told and not ask any questions until the end of the tour. Your visitors (like kids on a field trip) are on your site because of some simple curiosity that has led them to your site. You are their tour guide. They expect you to know where you want them to go and show them everything they want to see. Every click from a visitor on your site is an unspoken question looking for an answer. These clicks represent an opportunity for you (the tour guide) to answer it correctly leading your visitors to the light at the end of the tunnel. So, visitors better get what they want as quickly as possible or they’ll click their back button and look for another tour guide.

When the usability and content of your website convinces a visitor that your information is valuable to them; they give you something of value in return. They give you their valuable information by becoming a lead.

Let’s get one thing straight, it doesn’t matter if your website has a simple or complex sales process. The nature of any website in the context of this article is irrelevant as the underlying objective of any website is plain and simple, it is persuasion.

You may or may not have heard of “reverse marketing”. So, what is reverse marketing”?

Reverse marketing is a customer centric approach of going backwards in the whole evolution from prospect to lead, lead to customer and customer to repeat customer. In order to go backwards in the process, ask yourself these questions: who, what and how?

Who do I need to convince? What am I convincing my visitors to do?

When the objective of your site is generating leads, you want to convince your visitors to fill in a contact form for more information, register to download a white paper or demo, register for special offers, opt in to a newsletter or e-mail list, or use “email a friend” to forward interesting content on your site to those they know with similar interests.

Now that your target audience has been developed, in this case, business seekers or business opportunity seekers which represent your “who” from above, and you have identified the action you want them to take, which is turn them into a lead. You will now need look at configuring an online experience that incorporates your answer to the third basic question:

How do I most effectively persuade my visitors?

Relevancy = More MLM Leads Conversions

Identify what really matters to your visitors. What motivates them to seek you out? What problems do you solve for them? Identify the benefits and value your products or services offer. Think in reverse (remember reverse marketing), what motivated you to sign up into this business. 8 times out of 10, the reason is the same for the rest of your prospects as it was for you.

You Want Qualified MLM Leads for Your Home Business, not overzealous money seeker leads.

So Hold the Hype and Industry Lingo Unless you’re speaking to a targeted group of people, who know your industry inside and out, do not get lost in translation. Your message needs to be clear; it always helps to state your message clearly for the largest audience possible. When speaking in industry lingo, your audience will more than likely think you are not interested in talking to them or persuading them. Create an FAQ or glossary on your site for industry lingo terms you can link to if you must use industry specific lingo. This will deliver your message without delivering your visitors to your competition. Don’t worry if you are uneasy about creating ad-copy or writing to capture an un-illusive audience, the marketing materials provided by your upline has been carefully orchestrated to persuade a large audience. Remember reverse marketing, what worked for you will work for your audience too.

Leave out the hype. People buy from people, not from super duper, cutting edge, one of a kind, solve all systems. Because people buy from people, don’t brag about yourself or tout how great you are and how much money you’ve earned. Your visitors are interested in finding out what you can do for them. In the process of finding this out, they will want to know who is speaking to them. Have you ever noticed how authors write a brief biography in the back of their book? You should do the same. However, on a webpage you will want to create an “about me” page where people who are interested can click there to read about your accomplishments. This shouldn’t read like a resume, but rather the ever popular interview question, “tell me about yourself.’ Talk about where you went to school, where you reside, your family, and what motivates you. Bring yourself to their level and earn their trust by answering their unanswered question of “who will I be dealing with?” Remember, people buy from people, so identifying with your audience is very important. This is enough for now to let you research further.

MLM Success is about Relationships in Two Minutes Flat

One of the most important skills in the MLM business is relationship-building, and by mastering color personality technology, you will be able to build those essential relationships in two minutes flat!

Everyone has a certain personality type. I’m sure you’re aware of this. You see it all the time. Have you ever noticed how some people are very different from others? Did you know there is an actual science behind personality colors?

If you know how to use this information, your business and life will become easier and less stressful. You will be able to form a bond with people quickly, therefore creating the know, like, and trust factor in less time. If this technology is not learned, you may be speaking to your prospects in a way which will turn them off to both you and your business.

There are four personality types: yellow, blue, green, and red. Each of these colors processes the spoken word differently. It’s crucial that you know how to communicate with each color in a way that makes sense to them. If you don’t speak their language, they’ll shut you out, and you’ll get nowhere fast!

Relationship with a yellow color personality

Yellows are open and indirect. Making up 35 percent of the population, they are wonderful people—they are nurturers, great listeners, fantastic team players, patient, and supportive. They are very open with their feelings, but when you ask them a question, they answer it and stop—they don’t volunteer any more information. Yellows are capable of building the largest MLM organizations when they get focused and believe that they can do it. They enjoy life and hate any kind of confrontation. They don’t like pushy, aggressive salespeople—if you try to “push” them or “sell” them, they will be out the door, and you’ll never see them again. Take your time and build a relationship, teach them, and help them. If you do that with a yellow color personality, you’ll have an awesome team member!

Relationship with a blue color personality

A blue is open and direct. If you ask him a question, he’ll never stop answering, and when he does, he’ll forget what the question was! This combination of open and direct means that the blue color personality is very confident in what he does and what he knows. Blues are the life of the party and everyone’s friends! Blues love to be with people and like attention. They are very creative people and make up 15 percent of the population. If you can teach a blue to focus and give her a system that’s fun and duplicable, there will be no stopping her!

Relationship with a green color personality

Green is indirect, like a yellow, and self-contained, and they make up 35 percent of the population. They are very calculating and need all the facts and figures before they make any decisions. When you speak to a green, chances are he’s trying to figure out why you’re asking this or that question. It’s important for you to remember to slow . . . down . . . your . . . speech. Don’t talk too fast to a green, or he won’t trust you—he will think you’re a slick salesperson. Rather, when you ask a question, let it sink in, and take a breath before you go on. Don’t try to sell a green because after he gets all the information, he’ll sell himself. Besides, that’s what you really want anyway!

Relationship with a red color personality

The red color personality is very direct, like the blue, so sometimes people get them confused, but they are self-contained and will not let you see their weaknesses. Reds make up 15 percent of the population. They will ask questions and control the conversation; they are in charge! They are very motivated by money—everything in their lives revolves around success and being the best. A red is uncoachable, so don’t even try! They like their egos stroked, and they demand a show of respect.

Have you figured out what color you are? Once you have mastered color personalities, it will be an invaluable tool to use in your MLM business. You will understand why people say and do certain things—they can’t help it, it’s who they are! Your job is to apply color personality profiling to your MLM business, create those relationships in two minutes flat, and then watch your business grow!

Mistake

The first mistake practically everyone makes in this industry is trying to sell. We are in the teaching and mentoring business.

You can print flyers and post them on bulletin boards around town and put them on doors and cars.
If you figure a 1-2% success rate, you’ll get 1-2 leads per hundred flyers and then depending on your closing rate, you can figure out how many flyers you’ll need to hand out consistently to reach your goals.

You can spam the world with one of those e-mail 16 million people for 29.95 spam messages you get every week.
Do us both a favor and don’t.

One such Lead Co-Op is the spiderwebmarketingsystem.

How To Choose The Best MLM Leads

What are the characteristics of the Best Mlm Leads? This is a good question to ask before you spend any money buying leads to build your MLM business. Before we get to that let's take a look at why you would want to buy MLM leads in the first place.

Over the years the multi-level marketing business has gotten a black eye because of the over hyped promises of money and freedom. Very few people have ever achieved a high level of success in any MLM business. And even fewer have ever been able to maintain the level of achievements over a period of time.

That does not make MLM companies bad. Nor does it make the opportunities they afford the average person as a way to make extra money or even as a way to drastically change your lifetsyle. It can be done and using MLM leads is a great way to do it.

There are 2 big benefits to buying MLM leads.

1. It gets you away from approaching your friends and relatives. If you have been in more than one MLM business over the years you may have already approached them and used up your credibility when you were unsuccessful.

2. This is a duplicatible way to build your business that you can pass on to your downline. Any successful network marketing business will tell you that one of the main components of success is duplication. Anyone can buy leads and work them over the phone or thur the internet with the use of an autoresponder.

If you are unsure of how to work a lead over the phone I would suggest getting the book "Recruit Your Way To Millions" by Fred Stegge. After reading this book you will be able to explain what you do and what you offer to a new prospect in 30 seconds or less.

If you are unsure of what an autoresponder is or how to use one read this article I wrote "How To Effectively Use An Autoresponder." This is an absolutely essential business tool if you are going to succeed online with your MLM business.

http://team-schuman.com/articles/article15.html

Now that you understand some of the benefits of buying MLM leads and how to market to them let's take a look at what are the characteristics of the Best MLM Leads.

1. How many times are the leads sold? Many MLM lead companies sell their leads over and over. You will be contacting a prospect that has already been marketed to. Personally I like eads that are exclusive to me.

2. How old are the leads? Would you rather contact a prospect that has expressed an interest in the past 48 hours or in the past 48 days. Being able to strike while the iron is hot so to speak is a great benefit of a fresh lead.

3. How many leads do you get for your money? Obviously the more leads you can get for the best price the more leads you can buy at a time. This is especially important when you are first starting or when you are helping your downline get started.

4. What is the quality of the lead? Nothing compares to a lead that contains both a phone number and email address along with a few qualifying answers to questions like "How much can you invest to get started" or "How soon do you want to get started" or When is the best time to contact you?" If a prospect is answering these type of questions you are getting a much better quality lead than if you just have a name and email address.

5. What is the response rate? This will improve as your skill level at working your leads improves, but the fresher higher quality leads will give you a better response rate even when your skill level is low.

6. Do your leads come with any extras such as an autoresponder, training on how to work leads, pre-written email marketing letters, phone scripts, your own website, flash presentations, etc.
These are the top qualities of the Best MLM Leads. Be careful when choosing a place to get your leads. Not all MLM Lead companies are created equal. It is going to be the single most important decision you make when trying to grow your MLM Business. Make the wrong choice and you will waste your time and money as well as the time and money of your downline. Make the right choice and you can be building your business successfully for years to come.

How To Have Mlm Success With Effective Follow-Ups

If you want to have success with MLM it is vital that you follow up with your prospects. Just sending a package through the mail or an email to your website does not get the message across strong enough to your prospects. To have success in multi-level marketing you have to be willing to make that extra call to see if your prospect is satisfied, answer any questions, and more than anything just show them that you are there for them.

While the most important thing is to follow up with your prospect, the next thing to focus on is delivering an effective follow-up. If you are not familiar on how to follow up with your prospect you risk the chance of leaving out important questions that can kill your MLM success.

The most obvious reason to follow up with your prospect is to make sure they received the package or email. If they never received the package, how are you going to have MLM success without them knowing anything about it? By assuring that they received your mail it gives you an excuse to talk to them.

When you contact them, ask them if they have some time to talk about the opportunity that lies ahead of them. A promising prospect will have already viewed the contents of the package and is willing to take the time to get involved. Ask them if they have any questions regarding the package and do your best to keep them intrigued.

In order to have MLM success you are going to have to be able to turn some objections into positive feedback. Even some of the most interested prospects will have their doubts of what can go wrong, so you have to be prepared to ease their apprehension. Even the slightest pause can show them that you yourself may have doubts as well. You must be calm and confident to answer anything that is thrown your way.

By taking each objection and answering them in a serious manner, you’ll show the prospect that you care about them. This is key to getting a prospect to join and vital to your MLM success. Also know that an objection doesn’t always mean they are not interested; there may be something deeper into the “I’m not interested.” Just because they said no once doesn’t mean you should never contact them again. People who have success in MLM do not give up on a possible prospect that easy.

Follow-ups are vital to you have any kind of MLM success. The most obvious piece of advice for a follow-up is to be prepared before contacting the prospect. If you have a prepared presentation you should have no problem dealing with objections and answering any questions they may have. The first step to success in MLM is knowledge on what you are recruiting, so be prepared and give your prospects the attention they deserve.

How To Approach Your Mlm Warm Market - Without Chasing Away Your Family And Friends

If you've been in network marketing a while, then you know that the "warm market" is always the place to start when kicking off a new business. However, you also know that talking to your family and friends can be one of the most frightening, even intimidating tasks we can undertake, especially when we're new.

Here's something to keep in mind. This is the first impression of business building that most distributors get when starting off. Therefore, a positive experience in the warm market is absolutely critical in determining whether a new person will continue to move forward with their business or not.

If you're like most distributors, you were taught (by a well-intentioned sponsor) to approach your warm market with a "selling" mentality. The kind that says go out and get your products or opportunity in front of everyone on your list. Now that might be OK for the cold market, but we're talking about people that you know on a personal level here. These are the people with whom you don't want to burn any bridges.

In addition, very often we don't realize that even though we may be over-flowing with excitement, it can be very difficult for others to feel the same level of enthusiasm, especially if this is their first exposure to our products or opportunity. And without controlling our excitement, it becomes very easy to overwhelm people with too much information causing them to feel pressured or defensive.

So, the difference between success and failure in your warm market is all in your approach. There is a right way and a wrong way to go about it. The good news is, approaching your warm market the right way is a whole lot easier and fun than doing it the wrong way.

Now, before you start talking to people, there's something very important to remember. No one on your list is looking for your product or opportunity. Therefore, you don't want to just hit people over the head with your sales tools and hope they'll be interested. They won't. You must sort out the interested from the uninterested.

Furthermore, don't make the "rookie" mistake of trying to guess who would be interested. So many times brand new distributors start out by saying things like, "I just know my brother-in-law is going to love this. He's got sales experience, he's energetic, he knows a lot of people, he would be perfect. I'm not going to talk to anyone 'til after I talk to him." Then they end up chasing this person for days trying to convince them to join just to have them say "no" in the end.

Meanwhile, in the same time frame an experienced distributor has talked to 20 people, sorted out the 7 or 8 interested, and signed up 5. Here's this principle in a nutshell:

"Professionals sort. Amateurs convince."

Write that down, stick it where you can see it, and never forget it.

So, how do you go about sorting out the right people? It's quite simple actually, but it must be done in a very passive way. Otherwise, if you're too aggressive people will smell a sales pitch and run away, leaving you with nothing but a bad reputation.

There's a very clever way to sort out people that doesn't raise any red flags. Here's how it works:

* Start by calling the people on your list with the premise that you're simply updating your address book or making sure that the phone number you have for them is still valid.

* Strike up a very friendly and relaxed conversation by asking, "So what have you been up to?" Let them talk as long as they wish and don't interrupt.

* Inevitably, they're going to ask you the same question. Tell them about your life, NOT your business. Talk about your kids, your job, your hobbies, or anything. Then make a statement like, "Oh yeah, I also started my own business."

* Of course they're going to ask, "Oh really, what is it?" That's your cue. Make a quick "teaser" statement like "I show people how to lower their cholesterol (or whatever your product does) and make extra money from home."

* Then, immediately make a third person statement such as, "Hey do me a favor, if you know anyone who could use that send them my way OK."

* Now, if they don't respond in a curious manner, drop the subject and get back to the friendly conversation.

* However, if they say something like "What about me?" or "How does it work?", congratulations you've got yourself a hot prospect.

Here's what you do next. Stop the conversation right there. Control your enthusiasm and DON'T answer any more questions. If you allow your prospect's questions to steer the conversation, they will always steer you right into the ditch, guaranteed.

Instead tell them, "Look, I'm still kind of new at this and still learning so let me send you some information on it so you can see how it works."

NOW you can show them your company's sales tools. Let the sales tools do all the work for you. And when you send the sales tools, send a couple extra with a hand-written personal note asking them to help you out by passing along your information. Your only job now is to follow up. Remember, the fortune is in the follow-up!

And THAT'S how you approach your warm market the right way. This simple strategy accomplishes 5 major objectives:

#1 It sorts out the right people for you so you don't waste time, energy, or money on the wrong people.

#2 It takes the "selling" pressure off of both you and your prospect.

#3 It removes the emotional element of being rejected.

#4 It virtually eliminates the need to "overcome objections".

#5 And most importantly, it preserves valuable relationships.

Just remember, everyone on your list is not a customer. Don't try to guess who is and who isn't. Just be yourself and let your prospects step forward on their own. And if you'll do that, you'll keep your friends and family and building your business will always be easy and fun.

How MLM Recruiting Can Make You Rich

There are several things a person can do to become successful in network marketing, but none compare to the benefits you will receive from MLM recruiting. A majority of your time should be spent on recruiting and building your business because in the end, everyone wants to be rich. The further you build your business the higher your income is going to be. So how do you go about recruiting and what are the magical secrets to success in multilevel marketing? Let’s find out.

The first part to MLM recruiting is believing in yourself and the product that you are promoting. You must believe that your product is the best out there and that it is going to benefit everyone that becomes associated with it. If you promote the product with great knowledge and passion then other people will be curious as to why it is truly as good as you make it out to be. Now you have the person’s attention.

Getting people to your website is the key to advertising. Everyone that has internet access has the capability of seeing your information at THEIR convenience. When you’re advertising online, always cross-market by advertising your website and phone number. This gives people multiple ways to contact you enhancing your chances of building your network marketing downline.

Communication is a key aspect to how people will perceive the product. With network marketing, you will be recruiting in various ways from telephone, email, letter and more. If you are fumbling with words trying to explain the benefits of the product, people will question your knowledge of the product. You need to know the ins and outs of the product and be prepared for any question that may come up.

Building a personal relationship will help in multilevel marketing. Know that everyone you deal with has a life and hobbies outside of network marketing themselves. If you take the time to get to know them a little better they will begin to trust you more and be more inclined to buy into your product. Ask them about family, hobbies, interests, career goals and more.

Persistency is the key to success in network marketing and will help in the recruiting process. Be consistent to follow up on every email that you receive to keep the personal relationship in tact. Offer something of value to them such as new ezines of yours that they can subscribe to for free. Keep them interested on an ongoing basis until they finally decide it is worth buying into.

MLM recruiting is all about persistency and consistency. If the person sees your dedication and you take the time to build a relationship, you will build a large downline in no time. If you can show people that they are worth while, then they will be more inclined to listen to you and you will be on your way to a successful MLM recruitment.

Choosing Mlm Software For Your Needs

As with any industry that involves millions of people, multi-level marketing has seen the rise of software developers who target the many people involved in MLM. With the large number of options in MLM software out there already, how do you choose the one that is right for your needs? It's important to not only find the software that best fits your needs, but the right software company as well.

Pick a reputable vendor who will last

As in any money-making industry, there are many fly-by-night software companies that make many claims of experience, know how and impressive MLM software features. Unless you are willing to put your business at risk, choose a vendor with a solid reputation. Reputations are built over many years of working with customers, not just selling a software package a few times. While a fresh upstart may not actually be disreputable, the unproven stability of that company could pose a risk to yours.

Check out at least five references, preferably ones found through an independent source. Remember that vendors will be eager to provide only those references sure to provide a glowing review. You might be unpleasantly surprised if you do not contact companies not included in the reference list.

Inspect the MLM software company's physical office

Your decision should be based on both the MLM software and the vendor's support services. If the vendor is not able to provide acceptable support services, what will you do if the software stops working properly, or you need it tailored to the changing needs of your business? Do they support it well?

Sadly, the only constant among all MLM companies is that they constantly change. Your MLM software must be able to change with it.

When you're at the vendor's office, meet the vendor's people that will be in charge of your needs. Find out what kind of people they are and how long they have worked for the vendor. Be willing to pay for experience and competence, as this ends up costing far less in the long run.

Small MLM software companies are bigger risks

Smaller software companies, to compete with larger established firms, must offer software at bargain prices. While these low prices may be tempting, this practice often puts them on shaky financial ground during their most critical years.

Companies that are trying to save money by purchasing MLM software from these small software houses sometimes find themselves quickly abandoned when they need assistance. Servicing the needs of one highly successful client can consume virtually all of the resources of a small software company, leaving their other clients stranded out in the cold.

The problem that gives greatest cause for concern is that smaller companies tend to quickly go out of business without warning. The smart money says to stay away from the small vendors and stick to those with staying power and track records.

Buy an MLM software package with some built-in versatility

Many packages are limited to only with those reports they include with the program. Managers must often resort to running large reports to answer small questions or concerns when only a small exception report, called up on demand, is actually desired. Small exception reports can be reviewed quickly and accurately, making the versatility to create your own reports within the program structure absolutely vital.

Weigh the software's features

MLM software is typically designed to handle the specific business issues associated with MLM businesses. Often it has a great deal of difficulty dealing with matters outside the original design. Software cannot be forced to do things it was never designed to do without yielding sub-par results.

The wise computer software buyer compares features and capabilities, side by side, of one package to another. Ask the vendor which features they consider to be unique to their package compared to others. Carefully weigh which features are necessary or helpful to your business, and which are merely "eye candy" that serves to make the software look more impressive and thereby justify a higher price.

You are not just buying a computer software package; you are buying expertise, emergency support services, programming services, and starting a long-term business relationship. There is no substitute for careful prior planning.

Consider everything meticulously before choosing your MLM software vendor. Avoid the temptation to penny pinch. Doing so may harm your chances for success.

Avoiding Mlm Scams While Looking For A Home Based Business

Choosing a Home Based Business can mean wading through pools of scam artists and get rich quick schemes. Many people try to make their living by deceiving others. They present an attractive package, a catchy headline and details that seem too good to be true.

Proverbs tells us that wealth gotten quickly will be squandered quickly. Old fashioned hard work and ingenuity is still your best bet to obtain financial security. If it seems too good to be true, it is. Be wary of an...

Be wary of any company that asks for money up front without personal contact, clear details or a money back guarantee.

Many business classified as multilevel marketing business can be found. They find their way into your spam email folder, your mailbox and your telephone during dinner. They base their system on being able to convince others to pay a membership fee to sign up and then go out and recruit other poor suckers to do the same. The only people who make any substantial money are those skilled enough to lie their way to the top of sucker tree. Once at the top, they collect a large portion of the membership fees from new recruits. They claim that once you climb the ladder of lies to a higher level, you can choose to sit back and reap the benefits of the labor of others. While it may be legal in most states, it definitely is not morally correct to benefit from the naivete and hard work of others.

While these businesses in essence are deceitful, they are clever in their dishonest tactics. They operate under the guise of a legitimate sales business. Sometimes the products being sold are of good quality and are worth the asking price. It is the multilevel structure of the business that is dishonest. Many recruiters will use the legitimate business of sales to justify the deceptive multilevel marketing details of their contract.

The sad truth is that most new recruits pay the membership fee, purchase a starter kit of products for sale, buy books written by other business owners in the MLM and fork out large amounts of money for supplies, training materials, seminars and travel expenses before discovering the truth about their position on the MLM food chain. By the time those duped come to their senses, the money is long gone and the “business partners” have made themselves scarce. The bottom line of the checkbook doesn’t lie.

Multilevel marketing scams are often sought after by trusting individuals with a desire to earn extra income and better themselves personally. The tragic experience of the MLM scam can turn hardworking individuals against the ides of starting a legitimate home based business.

Beginner's Guide to Network Marketing (MLM)

Network Marketing, also called MLM (multi-level marketing) can be very profitable, but don't be fooled by claims that it is easy to earn money with little effort. Read this short guide to network marketing / MLM and decide if this is the business for you.

Network Marketing, also called MLM (multi-level marketing) can be very profitable. Many companies operate in this way, for example Amway, Kleeneze and the Body Shop.

The main requirement for this business is to be good at selling. Don't despair if you're a shy wallflower as selling is a skill that can be learned, and in most network marketing companies you should be provided with plenty of training materials and help.

When you join a network marketing company there are two ways of earning money. Firstly, by selling the company's products to the customer, you would then receive a percentage of the products you sell. Secondly you can also recruit other sales agents, while continuing to sell the products yourself. You would then receive commission for every sale your agents make also.

Although this is a profitable way to earn money, don't be fooled by claims that it is easy to earn money with little effort.

It can be possible to get into a position whereby you build a large network of sellers, who provide you with an income with their efforts, but you have to put in the work and it doesn't happen overnight.

If you are good at selling and are prepared to put in the work then this could be a very good way of making money.

There are a wide range of products available to make money. Choose a company whose products you like and perhaps would buy yourself, as this will make it much easier to sell.

Also make sure there are not too many agents for the company in the area you would like to work. This would make it difficult to sell a reasonable amount.

Try to find a proactive, experienced and helpful agent when deciding on which company to join. They will be the ones providing you with the most training and advice. Some agents provide regular training sessions and online forums to help and encourage each other.

Request information from several people or companies before making a decision.

You don't need any qualifications to join. You will be trained by the company you join to sell the product you choose.

Once you have chosen the company you wish to sell for, you will need to purchase their basic kit - this can be as little as a short training guide and some catalogues, to a package of products, stationery, catalogues and training materials. You should not be required to buy the products yourself to sell on. It is common however, to be expected to pay for some samples of the products at up to £100 ($200).

It is then up to you to make contacts to sell the products. You can sell through friends and their friends, work colleagues, special events, schools (check first), holding a party, or anywhere you can leave a catalogue in their business or office.

To work in network marketing you will need energy and resilience and a tough skin to cope with the many rejections!

At the start you may only be making a small amount, but successful people with a big network can make £100,000 ($200,000).

However this is not common and the average earnings are around £5,000 ($10,000) a year.

Are You Stuck In Your Internet MLM Business?

Many internet mlm business owners sometimes have a period where they just cannot seem to be making money and they are almost about to give up. This article looks at some common reasons why you are not making money and suggests some quick steps to remedy this problem.
Lack of signups

The first problem that any internet mlm business owner would face is the lack of signups. Most people face this problem when they first start out and spend lots of money on all kinds of promotion ideas that do not really work. I have found two types of promotion in particular that does work and they are pay per click advertising and article marketing.

Pay per click advertising simply means that you pay the Search Engines to put your listings prominently near the actual organic search results that any search engine user would see. So you get signups that are actually searching for your internet mlm business and therefore more targeted.
Article marketing is simply the best way to promote an internet mlm business online. By writing lots of articles online that reaches your target audience, you will find that the number of websites with links to your internet mlm business will rise and you get more website traffic and more people signing up for your internet mlm business.

No Followup system

Some internet mlm companies have a very aggressive anti-spam policy and this means that they do not really followup with your signups. What you do need to do and I recommend this is to find a promotion system promoting your particular business to save you time designing one. This followup system should have a built in autoresponder and sales letters designed to followup with your prospective signup online. If you are not following up with your internet mlm signups you are losing potential customers that you had through the door waiting for you to call. A followup system that is well designed will save you much time and close more sales for your internet mlm business.

Lack of compelling copy

For internet home based business ventures in particular, what is needed is not compelling copy in the normal sales process but in establishing yourself and getting your visitor to trust you. Your website or landing page should not be a rephrasing of the company referral website. It should tell your visitor about your life and how you are a normal person like your visitor is and by letting them know more about you, they will trust you more and would likely signup with you rather than another internet mlm business owner online.

In conclusion, if your internet mlm business is currently slow, spend some time looking through these three reasons and perhaps you might find out what is wrong and then be better placed to make more money from your internet home based business today.

The Four Beliefs You Must Develop To Succeed in MLM

Have you ever stopped to think about why most people fail in MLM business? Why is it that some people experience life changing success and others never get their MLM business off the ground?

Certainly the lack of quality MLM training can often be the cause for failure, but why is it that some people who get great training still fail?

Belief

That's why people fail. They just don't believe that they can have success. Perhaps someday almost all people will come to the realization that MLM works, and that it can work for them. That someday will happen for you if you can truly understand and believe.

Belief #1 - You must believe in your MLM company

When you get started in MLM you probably believe in the MLM concept, it just makes sense, but a lot of people join an MLM company they will never believe in. You leave this exciting meeting and you've met people just like you who are changing their lives and it's easy to get excited. But, when that excitement wears off, do you really believe in the company you just joined?

If you don't believe in the company, you'll never talk to anybody about it, and when asked what happened to your new business you will say something like "I tried that and it didn't work".

Build belief in your MLM company by asking questions, going to meetings, talking with successful people and putting yourself in a supportive environment. Read all the literature and participate in the webinars and conference calls, immerse yourself in this new world. If you don't believe in your MLM company you have no shot at success!

Belief #2 - You must believe in your MLM company's products or services

You must be a product of the product. You've probably heard it before, but have you done it consistently? Do you know your products or services backwards and forwards because you've used them? Would you sell them to your mother or best friend?

We were able to save more than $100,000 with our service, the same service that we market for $39.95 a month. Don't you think our belief level is sky high? Nobody believes more than we do!

Sure, sales people can sell anybody anything, but most multi-level marketers aren't great sales people. People with integrity have to believe in what they're doing or they won't do it. Use the same products you're attempting to market or you won't ever achieve long term success.

Belief #3 - You must believe in MLM

This is where almost everyone struggles mightily. I'd like to believe in MLM, but all I've ever done is fail. Take it from a former MLM loser, anybody with desire and time can be successful in MLM.

Study the industry, talk to people who are living lives on their terms and you will begin to believe. Get as close as you possibly can to successful multi level marketers and ask them what has helped them become successful.

We've got friends who didn't believe in MLM until we took a 7 week vacation! Hearing about success is one thing, knowing somebody who has taken a 7 week vacation is a whole different ballgame.

Belief #4 - You must believe in yourself

Even if you totally believe in your MLM company and your company's products and believe in the MLM industry, none of that matters if you don't believe that you can become successful. Most of us carry a lot of baggage with us all of our lives.

The failures in our past do not have to predict our future, but all too often we let those failures trap us into thinking that we cannot escape. We believe that we cannot escape poverty, even though we can.

A very good friend of ours grew up in the projects on the south side of Chicago. His mother believed that she could find a better life for her children, so she moved her family, and in the process dramatically altered the lives of generations. Her children and grandchildren are different because of her sacrifice.

They are different because she believed!

We met her son and shared our belief that MLM could change his life and the lives of his children. Today our friend earns 6 figures in our MLM company, a fact that we are both thankful for.

When you develop all 4 of the beliefs in this article you will be given the opportunity to shape and change the lives of people you would have never met any other way. Prepare yourself by working on these beliefs so that when the opportunity arrives for you to play a role in life changing success in the lives of others, you are prepared.
